Recording memories has always been important to me. In the past, music, photography, drawing, and journaling have played strong roles in this. Lately my records have run low and I’m becoming afraid that this past year might go unmarked. Because of this, I really enjoyed a recent radiolab episode with Nicholas Felton.

Felton spends much of his time thinking about data, charts and our daily routines. He records his every action in such depth that his every encounter, beverage, and meal is accounted for. He displays these recordings in annual reports that weave numerous measurements into a tapestry of beautiful graphs, maps, and statistics that reflect the year’s activities.

Here is a recent radiolab interview with Felton.
